Behind the Facade
I would like to say sorry for lying
To God and the people who are asking.
For whom this poem I am dedicating—
But it is only to you I’m saying.
This is from the person you can’t see what’s behind.
Feelings are being expressed from the inside.
My mouth can’t speak about what’s been on my mind,
So instead, in this writing, you will find.
I have worn an armor that is of most durable.
However, the strength of your aura made it unbearable.
The arrows fired at me, I’ve tried repelling,
Yet I overlooked—it’s already piercing.
As I have become aware
That there’s something in the air,
To come near you, I would not dare,
Because I don’t want to care.
It may take a while before I reminisce,
But as of now, I will seal the box of our memories.
Now, I have to put this feeling into an end—
For everything, thank you, my friend.
